... and didn't leave a comment, sorry about that. While I appreciate the desire to know why I faved an image, I generally don't have the time or inclination to explain myself. However, so you're not left completely hanging, here are some likely reasons I have for faving something:
If you do a lot of those kinds of art, I'll also likely watch you. So now you know.
- It has a rodent in it--I'm generally a fan of well-rendered rodents or rodent characters, and this reason accounts for the vast majority of my favs.
- It's particularly well-executed--I like really good art too.
- It's cute and/or funny
- It has characters from something else I like, like The Secret of NIMH, Ratchet and Clank, Valve games, webcomics like TwoKinds, etc.
- I just want to be able to find the image later
If you do a lot of those kinds of art, I'll also likely watch you. So now you know.
Favorites now with collections!
Not sure why I spent a few hours organizing my favorites into collections, but hey, why not. Should be easier for me to find stuff I'm looking for at least.
dA: a great place for talking to yourself
I'm starting to gather that dA is not a great place for me to post journals, based on the responses I've been getting. So here's the obligatory journal explaining why I don't post journals here.
Journals disguised as polls?
So, on the topic of random things that annoy me is artists who write polls that are really just journal entries in disguise. I'm not talking about a poll asking about what's going on in their life, I'm talking about a poll that just makes statements, like this:

* I thought it was...
* But then this happened...
* Then this...
* And here we are...
As far as I can tell, they use polls like this because they're more likely to get people to read them, which I can understand I suppose. Still, though, every time I see a poll like that, it just annoys me; feels like a kind of underhanded way to game the system. If

Hey kids! It's nearing election season again, and I'd like to put out a friendly reminder that you should register to vote, if you haven't already. Even if you don't plan to vote, you should register, so not voting becomes your choice, and not someone else's.
